Butler County's great daily newspaper

Eagle newsroom adds 2 staffers

Eddie Trizzino

Eddie Trizzino and Emily Sanders recently joined the Butler Eagle newsroom staff.

Trizzino began his reporting duties at the Eagle at the end of February, after working as a reporter in Fairmont, W.Va., for just over three years.

Trizzino is originally from Robinson Township. He attended Point Park University, earning a degree in journalism in 2017. His beat covers the northern part of Butler County, including Center, Clay, Concord, Washington, Slippery Rock, Brady, Worth, Cherry, Franklin, Muddy Creek, Mercer and Marion townships and Prospect, Portersville and Slippery Rock boroughs.

In his off time, the new Butler resident enjoys watching movies, running, listening to and playing music, and listening to and recording podcasts, and, when the world is not in the midst of a global pandemic, he enjoys skating, playing basketball and going to every restaurant in sight.

Also joining the newsroom on the copy desk as an editor and designer is Sanders, who is also making her home in Butler.

Sanders started working in the newsroom in January. She moved to the area from Washington County, but was born and raised in Singapore.

Sanders earned a journalism degree from the University of Missouri in 2017. Her prior experience includes working on the copy desks of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and newspapers in Missouri and Oregon.
