Virginia C. (Lundell) Langford

Virginia C. (Lundell) Langford, 97, of Cabot, formerly of Saxonburg and Ligonier, Pa., passed away Saturday at the Good Samaritan Hospice, Concordia Lutheran Ministries, Cabot.

Born Nov. 21, 1918, in Pittsburgh, the daughter of the late Arthur F. and Esther (Johnson) Lundell, Jinny was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Sarver and a former member of the Covenant Presbyterian Church in Ligonier.

She was a former employee and retiree from DuCo Ceramics, Saxonburg. She was a graduate of Peabody High School in Pittsburgh and had the distinction of attending all 12 years of her education without missing a day. Jinny was active in church choirs and the former Sarver Community Choir. She enjoyed baking, sewing, drawing and painting. She received a number of awards for her paintings.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Chester A. Langford in 2013; her siblings, Norma McCormick, Arthur, Jack and Richard Lundell; and one step-grandson.

Surviving are her sons, Ronald C. (Diane) Langford of Ligonier and Kenneth A. (Sharon) Langford of Hastings, Mich.; her daughter, Linda D. Langford (Paul Hindes) of New York City; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and her brother, Larry Lundell of Pittsburgh.

LANGFORD — Respecting the wishes of Virginia C. (Lundell) Langford, who died Saturday, March 26, 2016, there will be no visitation.A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. April 14 at the Fox Funeral Home, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg, with the Rev. Robert D. Cummings, her former pastor, of the Covenant Presbyterian Church in Ligonier officiating. Friends will be received by the family from 10 to 11 a.m., before the service.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations in Jinny's name be made to the Westminster Presbyterian Church, P.O.
