Dorothy Thompson
Mrs. Dorothy G. Thompson, 90, of Saxonburg passed away at 11:15 a.m. Saturday at Fair Winds Manor in Winfield Township while in the company of family members.
Dorothy was born in Natrona Heights, Dec. 15, 1919, the daughter of the late Emile and Christina (Scheer) Gaillot.
She was the widow of George W. Thompson Sr. who passed away in 1994 after 54 years of marriage.
She worked for 24 years as a sorter at DuCo Ceramics in Saxonburg, retiring in 1985.
Dorothy was a past member of the Rebecca Lodge in Freeport.
She enjoyed watching TV and cross stitching.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Freeport.
She is survived by her children, Judy (James) Wright of Saxonburg, Tommy L. (Judy) Thompson of Buffalo Township and Richard A. Thompson of Emlenton; and one sister, Ruth Humphreys of St. Clairsville, Ohio. Dorothy also is survived by her seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, George W. Thompson Jr.; an infant daughter, Robin Thompson; a grandson, Steven V. Thompson; a great-grandson, Noah Heasley; seven brothers; and four sisters.
