Robert F. DeSantis

Robert Francis DeSantis, 83, of New Port Richey, Fla., died Oct. 14 at the West Bay Nursing Center in Oldsmar, Fla., from complication of Alzheimer's disease.

Born July 17, 1922, in Butler, he was the son of Frank (Fleming) and Sadie Krchnak DeSantis.

He was a veteran of World War II and he retired as the controller at DuCo Ceramics in Saxonburg. He and his wife retired to New Port Richey in the early 1980s.

Mr. DeSantis was a member of St. James Roman Catholic Church, Port Richey, Fla.

He was an avid golfer and a member of the Magnolia Valley Country Club, where he served as treasurer for years.

Surviving are his wife, Madaline Raimondi DeSantis, whom he married April 18, 1945, at St. Michael Roman Catholic Church; two sons, Richard A. DeSantis of Tampa, Fla., and Dr. Robert F. DeSantis II of Big Springs, Texas; a brother, Rudolph V. DeSantis of New Port Richey; five grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his stepmother and a sister.

<B>DeSANTIS</B> — A memorial Mass for Robert Francis DeSantis, who died Friday, Oct. 14, 2005, was celebrated Wednesday at St. James Roman Catholic Church.
