Edward L. "Magoo" Ruby, 60, of Butler passed away Friday at his home.

Born July 14, 1948, in Rochester, he was the son of the late George Edward Ruby and the late Theda Schmidley Ruby.

He was associated with the First United Methodist Church.

He was a truck driver for Dale McClymonds Trucking for 32 years.

He was a former member of the Trees and Flowers Bowling League. He enjoyed antique cars, fishing, hunting and spending time with his grandchildren and his dog, Coco.

He is survived by his wife, Blanche V. Duncan Ruby, whom he married Feb. 3, 1968; two sons, Edward L. and Bobbi Ruby Jr. of York, S.C., and Ronald G. and Kelly Ruby of Butler; five grandchildren, Amber, Amanda, Nicholas, Kaylaa, and Jordan; a great-grandson, Noah; two sisters, Neva and John McClymonds of Cranberry Township and Sandra Sipes of Butler; three brothers, John and Karen Ruby of Harmony, Wayne Ruby of Cranberry Township, and Donald "Chuck" Ruby of Harmony; and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, and a great-granddaughter.

<B>RUBY</B>— Friends of Edward L. "Magoo" Ruby, who died Friday, Jan. 23, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at <B>Young Funeral Home</B>, 127 W. Jefferson St.Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. David Panther of First United Methodist Church officiating.
