Lois A. Yeager Sharpe

Lois A. Yeager Sharpe, 89, of Cranberry Township passed away peacefully in her Fernway home of 62 years, surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2021.

Born April 5, 1931, in Oil City, she was the daughter of the late John Heffner and Grace Samsul Heffner.

Lois, a devout Christian, was active in Dutilh United Methodist Church. Lois loved to teach. She was employed by the Seneca Valley School District as a second-grade teacher for Haine Elementary School in Cranberry Township. Lois earned her master's degree in education, and retired in 1994 after more than 20 years of service.

She enjoyed family activities, knitting, crocheting, playing the piano and solving puzzles.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory three children, Deborah (James) Zimmerman of Evans City, W. Mark Yeager of Argentina, and Cynthia (Wesley) Woodward of Harmony; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and eight nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her first husband, Wayne Yeager, who passed away in 1993; her second husband, Gerald “Jerry” Sharpe, who passed away in 2004; a brother; and two sisters.

SHARPE— Friends of Lois A. Yeager Sharpe, who died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2021, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Boylan-Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 130 Wisconsin Ave., Cranberry Township.A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. James Gascoine officiating.Lois will be laid to rest at Pinewood Memorial Gardens.Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family at www.boylanfuneralservices.com.
