More than 700 runners started out Saturday in Cabot at the beginning of the Buffalo Creek Half Marathon.

More than 700 runners gathered Saturday for the Buffalo Creek Half Marathon.

The half marathon startedin Cabot running a course that winds along a path made up of crushed limestone through gentle down hills and slight uphills leading to the end of the race in Freeport.

Kenny Goodfellow, 30, of Pittsburgh came in first place.

The annual Buffalo Creek Half Marathon benefits the Butler Freeport Community Trail in southwest Butler County.
