Marjorie Ellinor Parker Huffmyer
Marjorie Ellinor Parker Huffmyer, formerly of Center Township, passed away peacefully Friday, following a long battle with Alzheimer's disease, at Concordia Lutheran Ministries in Cabot, where she had been a resident for more than five years.
She was born March 13, 1929, in Rochester, Pa., the daughter of Fred and Anna Elizabeth (Pentermann) Parker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Huffmyer on Nov. 22, 2005; her parents; her son, George W. Huffmyer II on Aug. 2, 2005; her daughter, Cynthia Trussell on Oct. 3, 2014; her sisters, Mildred Proudfoot, Myrtle Gault and Norma Kurtz; and her brother, Homer Parker.
She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Huffmyer of Saxonburg; her son-in-law, Calvin Trussell of Barnwell, S.C.; her sister-in-law, Mary Parker of Port Charlotte, Fla.; three grandchildren, Sidney Jacob (Sara) Huffmyer of Pittsburgh, Matthew David Huffmyer of Rochester and Kathryn Nicole Huffmyer and her fiance, Jonathan Frye, of Monaca; and by many nieces, nephews, friends and relatives.
PARKER — Friends of Marjorie Ellinor Parker Huffmyer, who died Friday, Jan. 29, 2016, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Ave., Monaca, where funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday with the services conducted by her daughter, the Rev.
