Mary Morgan

Mary Birdie Morgan, 99, of Boyers left her loved ones here on Earth to join her loved ones in heaven Saturday.

Mary was born July 29, 1919, in Kennerdell. She was the daughter of the late Israel Augustus Shaffer and the late Dora Elizabeth Smith Shaffer.

Mary was a member of the Boyers United Methodist Church. She worked for many years as a custodian at Moniteau High School. Mary was also a member of the Marion Township Ladies Auxiliary.

Mary is survived by three daughters, Sandra McFeaters, Nanci (V. Gordon) Craig and Karen (John) Windisch, all of Harrisville; two sons, Stanley L. (Sally) Morgan of New Brighton and Alan L. (Amy) Morgan of Monument, Colo.; one daughter-in-law, Darlene Morgan of New Castle; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mary was the last surviving member of her immediate family which included six brothers and two sisters.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Gomer Morgan; one son; one granddaughter; and one great-grandson.

MORGAN — Friends of Mary Birdie Morgan, who died Saturday, Aug. 18, 2018, will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and from 1 p.m. Wednesday until time of service at 2 p.m. at William F. Young Funeral Home, 132 Main St., West Sunbury, with the Rev. Gary Warner and the Rev. Sara Atkins officiating. Burial will be at North Washington Cemetery.
