Lois Hesidence

Hesidence

Lois V. (Collier) Hesidence of Chicora passed away Friday, March 11, 2022, at the Chicora Quality Life Services.

Born March 19, 1944, in Butler, she was the daughter of the late Milford and Betty Collier, proprietors of the former Colonial Inn, Chicora.

Lois was a member of St. Wendelin Roman Catholic Church and the East Butler Fire Hall.

After raising her four children, Lois worked in the kitchen at the Chicora Medical Center and later found herself at Sam’s Spot Mini Mart, where she was employed until her retirement in 2000. Lois worked the early shift, and her sassy personality was not afraid to run off anyone who may have been sleeping in their car when she arrived at 4:30am.

Lois loved scratch-off tickets and the occasional trip to the casino.

Above everything, Lois loved her family, especially her grandchildren. From swimming in her pool, to taking trips to Cook Forest, Lois adored the time spent with them.

Surviving are her children, Tammy (Jeff) Mennor of Fenelton, Brian (Tracy) of Karns City and Greg (Jennifer) of Herman; her grandchildren, Brandon and Tori (Emily); her sister, Debbie (Floyd) Kerry of Herman; and her sister-in-law, Lois Hesidenz of Butler; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Rodney; her son Douglas; her grandson, Joshua; and her brother, James.
