Alice B. Lassinger

Alice B. Lassinger, 83, of Saxonburg died Monday at Concordia Lutheran Ministries, Cabot.

Born April 1, 1922, in Buffalo Township, she was the daughter of Edward and Margaret Reamer Maurhoff.

She had worked in the laboratory at Saxonburg Ceramics.

Mrs. Lassinger was a member of the Saxonburg Volunteer Fire Company Auxiliary for more than 30 years. She also belonged to the Saxonburg Historical and Restoration Commission, where she was instrumental in establishing the Saxonburg Museum.

Surviving are three brothers, Wilmer and Samuel Maurhoff, both of Sarver, and Paul Maurhoff of Natrona Heights; and a sister, Mrs. Walter (Della) Sarver of Grove City.’

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Carl V. Bock, who died in 1952; and her second husband, Vernon L. “Ben” Lassinger, who died Jan. 6, 2006.

<B>LASSINGER</B> — Friends of Alice B. Lassinger, who died Monday, Feb. 13, 2006, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the FOX FUNERAL HOME, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Saxonburg Memorial Church Cemetery.Memorial donations may be made to the Saxonburg Historical and Restoration Commission.
