Matilda 'Sis' Forsythe

Matilda M. "Sis" Zattiero Forsythe, 79, of Harmony died Saturday morning at Passavant Retirement Center, Zelienople.

Born Nov. 20, 1925, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Hugo and Margaret Machin Zattiero.

She was a Protestant and had worked at NAPCO in Cooperstown.

Surviving are a son, T. Michael Forsythe of Harmony; a daughter, Marcia Marshall and her husband, John "Mike," of Penfield, Clearfield County; three brothers, Arthur "Butch" Zattiero and his wife, Nancy, of Evans City, Albert Zattiero of Gibsonia and Robert Zattiero and his wife, Carolyn, of North Carolina; a sister-in-law, Edna Mae Zattiero of Mars; and a grandson, Tad Michael Forsythe of Harmony.

She was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Wilma and Clarence Knox; a brother, Joseph Zattiero; and a sister-in-law, Elsie Zattiero.

FORSTHYE - Friends of Matilda M. "Sis" Zattiero Forsythe, who died Saturday, April 9, 2005, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at A. CARL KINSEY-RONALD N. VOLZ FUNERAL HOME, 328 W. Main St., Evans City. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Peter deVries, pastor of Old Union Church of Mars, officiating.
