Norma Fendlay

Norma Fendlay, 77, of Portersville, passed away Thursday morning in Avalon Nursing Center.

Born April 11, 1940, in San Diego, Calif., she was the daughter of Harry and Helina Trueblood VanZandt.

She was preceded in death on July 4, 2006, by her husband of 46 years, John M. Fendlay, whom she married April 15, 1960.

Norma was a homemaker and enjoyed her family, reading and loved giving of her time to charities.

She is survived by her daughter, Debi (Mike Dusheck) Evans, of New Castle; two grandchildren, Heather Neely and Amanda Dusheck; and two great-grandchildren, James Jared Neely and Payton Waters.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

FENDLAY — Visitation for Norma Fendlay, who died Thursday, Aug. 17, 2017, will be held from 4 to 6 p.m., Sunday, at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle, 16105, followed by a memorial service at 6 p.m. The Rev. Marsha Parrish will officiate.
