Dean R. Kirk Sr.
Dean "Big Daddy" R. Kirk Sr., 69, of Butler passed away Friday at his home after an illness.
He was born Nov. 15, 1939, in Butler, the son of the late Paul Kirk and the late Helen (Stelbotsky) Kirk.
Dean was a member of the St. Paul Roman Catholic Church.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
He also was a member of the Moose Lodge 64, the American Legion Post 778 and the Italian Society of Butler.
Dean enjoyed all of his activities and the many people he came in contact with.
He had been a truck driver for Marmon/Keystone, and he had owned and operated the Huddle Lounge for 25 years.
Surviving are two daughters, Laura Kirk and Pamela and Art Garcia, all of Las Vegas; two sons, Dean Kirk Jr. and his fiancée, Bonnie Fontaine of Butler and Richard and Heather Kirk of Las Vegas; a number of grandchildren; three sisters, Sandra Rotz, Marsha Burns and Paulette and Dave Bowen, all of Butler; and a brother, Joe Kirk of Butler.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Barney Kirk; and a sister, Patricia Reott.
<B>KIRK</B> — Friends of Dean "Big Daddy" R. Kirk Sr., who died Friday, Feb. 13, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. until the time of the blessing service at 8:30 p.m. Sunday at the <B>Young Funeral Home</B>, 127 W.
