M. Lucille Hoffman

M. Lucille Hoffman, 79, of Six Points, Allegheny Township, passed away Saturday morning at the Good Samaritan Hospice, Cabot, following a brief illness.

Born in Irwin Township, Venango County, Nov. 3, 1930, she was the daughter of the late William Milton and Cora Sloan Roxberry.

Mrs. Hoffman was a Protestant.

She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed NASCAR and baseball.

In earlier years, Lucy was a nurse's aide at the former Odd Fellows Home, now Orchard Manor, at Grove City.

Surviving are her husband, William H. "Buss" Hoffman Jr., who she married March 6, 1950; a daughter, Peg (Tom) Fitzgerald of Boyers; a son, William J. "Jim" (Patty) Hoffman of Cincinnati, Ohio; six grandchildren, Tracie Eiler, Micki Sanderson, Todd and Jason Fitzgerald, Jamie R. Schlosser and Tina L. Hoffman; 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Freda (Harry) Croy of Harrisville and Dorothy (Don) Critchlow of Arizona; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister and three brothers.

<B>HOFFMAN</B> — Friends of M. Lucille Hoffman, who died Saturday, Dec. 5, 2009, may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the <B>H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home</B>, Main Street/Route 38, Eau Claire. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Clintonville Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Good Samaritan Hospice at Concordia, 134 Marwood Road, Cabot, PA 16023.Information also is available at www.buzardfuneralhomes.com.
