Michael Ross Hines

Michael Ross Hines, 59, of Zelienople, formerly of Slippery Rock, passed away Monday at UPMC Passavant, Allegheny County, following a short illness.

Mike was born May 19, 1958, in Grove City to Howard Calvin Hines and Sarah Ruth Cross Hines. He graduated from Slippery Rock High School.

Mike enjoyed his work at Rusty Hook Auto Salvage Co. in Harmony, and he attended the Friendship Parish in Worth Township. Mike liked fishing.

Survivors include his sister, Candace Boulanger of Butler; his nephew, Chad E. Kelley of Butler; his aunt, Jane Spencer of Red Lion, Pa.; and a number of cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; his parents; and his brother-in-law, Rodney Boulanger.

HINES — The family of Michael Ross Hines, who died Monday, July 3, 2017, will conduct a public memorial service for him this fall at what will be the newly opened Wolf Creek Community Cemetery at a date and time to be announced in the Butler Eagle.Memorial contributions may be given to the Slippery Rock Volunteer Fire Company and Rescue Team, P.O. Box 117, Slippery Rock, PA 16057.Arrangements have been entrusted to the Smith Funeral Home in Slippery Rock.
