Ronald Lendyak

Ronald Lendyak, 90, of Wattersonville, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2021, at the home of his son.

He was born on Aug. 11, 1931, in Kittanning, to Adam Lendyak and Grace (Shearer) Lendyak.

He graduated from Kittanning High School in 1949. On Jan. 1, 1950, he married Pauline Jack.

In his early life, he worked at many diverse jobs, including jobs at Eljer and Pullman Standard. He then embarked on a long sales career that began in his youth when he worked at Joe's Army Navy Store. He was a life insurance agent for several companies including Prudential, Mutual of Omaha, and Continental Casualty. He spent the greatest part of his sales career as a rep for the schools sales division of several reference and textbook companies including Encyclopedia Britannica, Grolier and World Book.

He was a member of the Kittanning Fireman's Band. He also served for many years on the board of the Cowansville Health Center.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by four sons, Ron (Rosie) Lendyak of Wattersonville, Tom (Nancy) Lendyak and Lynn Lendyak of East Brady, and Adam Lendyak of Evans City; two daughters, Audrey (Russell) Dobish of Zelienople, and Amy (Kim) Sellers of Evans City; 18 grandchildren, Rachel Lendyak-Peters, Rebecca Lendyak-McMahon, Renee Lendyak, Ryan Dobish, Aaron Dobish, Jonathan Dobish, Amanda Miner, Zachary Lendyak, Grace Burkhardt, Lynn Michael Lendyak, Claudia Farren, Nicole Vecchio, Christopher Gordon, Kayla Pritchard, Liz Gordon-Rogers, Kim Branan, Hope Lendyak and Beverly Lendyak; 36 great-grandchildren, Sawyer, Greyson, Weston, Lena, Nellie, Dylan, Dakota, Skylie, Winter, Blaze, Colston, Schenley, Addan, Jace, Jordy, Devin, Julia, Beck, Ike, Knox, Mia, Ethan, Harper, Iva, Carter, Alivia, Penny, Jude, Caedan, Lily, Thea, Glory, Heaven, Noah, Maria and Adam; several stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren.

He is also survived by a brother, Bud (Loretta) Lendyak of Slippery Rock; and a sister, Elaine Sweet of Sodus Point, N.Y.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter.

LENDYAK — In accordance with his wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service for Ronald Lendyak, who died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2021.

Burial will be held privately by the family.

Arrangements are under the care of Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Cowansville.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Orphans of the Storm Animal Shelter.
