Slippery Rock VFC gets 2 grants
Slippery Rock Volunteer Fire Company has received two grants through the Pennsylvania Fire Company Volunteer Ambulance Service Grant Program.
State Rep. Aaron Bernstine, R-10th, made the announcement last week.
The grants — one for $7,448.21 for the company’s EMS arm, and another for $15,000 for its fire organization — can be used for construction or renovation of facilities, or to purchase or repair equipment, for training or for debt reduction.
The funding is part of $30 million in state grants awarded to fire and ambulance organizations statewide.
