Police search for driver who shot man
JACKSON TWP — State police are searching today for the driver of a car who fired shots that wounded a second driver during a dispute here.
Troopers from the Butler barracks say the shooting happened just before midnight Friday along Zehner School Road.
Police say a “rolling dispute” occurred when both cars were on Route 19 and that the shooter’s car made a U-turn and began following a vehicle driven by 45-year-old David Getty of Cranberry Township.
Police say Getty was shot after he and his girlfriend pulled over, got out of their vehicle and began walking toward the other car.
Police are still looking for the other driver and his vehicle.
As of Sunday, Getty was in critical condition, but it was not considered life threatening.
