Virginia M. Shade, 78, of Jefferson Township passed away Monday at her home.

She was born on Dec. 4, 1936, to the late Jess and Evelyn Warner Sarver.

Mrs. Shade was a member of the Jefferson Center Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed reading and tending to her plants. She loved being with her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughters, Kay and Dan Mainhart of Saxonburg and Diane and Terry Vargo of Saxonburg; her brother, Robert Sarver of New Hampshire; her grandchildren, Yvonne Heltsley, Shelley and Richie Walck, Lindsay Fortuna and Josh Bagley; her great-grandchildren, Brittany, Andrew, Ginny, William and Jillian; her extended family, Steve, India, Sam, Sally, Josh and Will Loevner; three stepchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, William Smith and Eugene Shade.

SHADE — Friends of Virginia M. Shade, who died Monday, July 20, 2015, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the CHARLES B. JARVIE SPRINGDALE FUNERAL HOME, 801 Pittsburgh. St., where services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. Jonathan West officiating.
