Ida R. Barr, 89, of Butler died Tuesday at her home.

Born Tuesday, Jan. 2, 1917, in Butler, she was the daughter of Ross O. and Mae E. Grossman Murtland.

She loved animals. She was a Baptist. She retired from the dietary department at Butler Memorial Hospital after 20 years.

Surviving are a daughter, Margaret Pefferman of Wildwood, Pa.; three sons, William Barr of Branchton and Robert L. and Larry E. Barr, both of Butler; six grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
