Cherie Lang

Cherie J. Lang, 81, of Fombell died Friday at the Passavant Retirement Community, Zelienople.

Born June 28, 1929, in Annapolis, Md., she was the daughter of the late David and Ethel M. (Steele) Gibson.

Mrs. Lang enjoyed reading, playing cards and doing word search puzzles.

She is survived by a daughter, Debra L. Sprow and her husband, Denis, of Fombell; three grandchildren, Melanie Sprow of Zelienople, Michael Sprow and his wife, Rebecca, of Ellwood City and Lynn Maltarski and her husband, Michael, of Ellwood City; and six great-grandchildren, Brandon Sprow, Jacob Sprow, Benjamin Maltarski, Nicholas Sprow, Gracelyn Maltarski and Dominic Maltarski.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, William Neely; and her husbands, William Pinkerton in 1959 and Elmer Lang in 1989.

<B>LANG</B> — The family of Cherie J. Lang, who died Friday, April 15, 2011, will welcome friends today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the <B>Boylan Funeral Home</B>, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Wilfred Goetze officiating.
