Roy L. Schmoll, 50, passed away unexpectedly Friday at his Crescent Springs, Ky.,home.

Roy was a controls engineer for BOSCH Automotive and a member of St. Joseph Church in Crescent Springs.

He was a brilliant man with a witty charm and an avid fisherman who had an unequivocal love and devotion to his wife and children.

Roy is survived by his wife of 16 years, Jennifer Stone Schmoll;his children, Luke, Brooke, Ian and Caleb Schmoll; his parents, Robert and Rita Schmoll of Karns City; his siblings, Bob (Amy)Schmoll of Lexington, Ky., Rodney Schmoll of Butler, Ronald (Traci McKenna)Schmoll of Cranberry Township, Rhonda (Chris)Kuminkoski of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., Rani (Mike)Nicodemus of Petrolia, Ryan Schmoll of Grove City, Roger (Sharon)Schmoll of Petrolia and Rebecca (Matt)Hinterlang of Grove City.

He is also survived by 33 nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Raylene Schmoll; his brother, Raymond Schmoll; his brother, Randy Schmoll; and his nephew, Hunter Schmoll.

SCHMOLL — A visitation for Roy L. Schmoll, who died Friday, Jan. 26, 2018,will be from 4 to 8p.m. Wednesdayat the Linnemann Funeral Home in Erlanger, Ky.A Mass of Christian burial will take place at 11 a.m. Thursdayat St. Joseph Church in Crescent Springs, Ky.Interment will be at the Highland Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell, Ky., with a reception following burial at St. Timothy Brodnick Hall, Union, Ky.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may made at any PNC Bank location to the “Schmoll Family Fund” account.Online condolences can be made at www.linnemannfuneralhomes.com.
