5:15 p.m. Sunday — The residence at 212 Lindsay Road was burglarized. Police said there was forced entry and among the items discovered missing were coins, a pistol, jewelry and music CDs.7:53 a.m. Saturday — An employee from North Star Pontiac on Route 19 reported several vehicles were tampered with overnight. Police found a Chevrolet truck with the amplifiers under the seat removed. Another Pontiac vehicle had a wheel taken off the car, but only the lug nuts were missing. Police believed the would be robbers were interrupted and fled.4:03 p.m. Aug. 8 — A vehicle driven by Gary Pale, 45, of Evans City was traveling on Hartmann Road near Textor Hill Road when it crossed over into the other lane in a curve and collided with a vehicle driven by Joan Laskowsky, 31, of Evans City. Pale received a traffic citation.2:10 a.m. July 29 — Nicholas Ray Violette, 21, of Irwin was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, possession of a controlled substance and use/possession of drug paraphernalia after police witnessed the man turn on his left turn signal to make a right turn into a gas station on Route 68.<B> </B>Butler PoliceWednesday — Robert Dale Boring Jr., 31, of Zelienople was arrested for drunken driving soon after allegedly stealing a dump truck from a construction site in the city.The truck's owner, a contractor, was working on North Elm Street about 1:20 p.m. when he saw his vehicle driving away. He called police and the information about the truck was immediately sent by radio to other departments.A Butler Township police officer within two minutes spotted the truck and made a traffic stop. Apolice report said the defendant was identified and found to be intoxicated.Boring was arraigned on charges of theft of a vehicle, receiving stolen property and driving under the influence. He was placed in the Butler County Prison on both a $10,000 bond as well as a probation violation.
1:10 p.m. Thursday — Cars driven by Jarrod Warner, 27, and Kim Williams, 42, both of Butler, collided on Route 68 near the Connoquenessing Elementary School in Connoquenessing Township. Warner and a passenger in his car, a 1-year-old Butler boy, were treated for minor to moderate injuries at Butler Memorial Hospital.Monday — An undisclosed amount of scrap metal was stolen between Aug. 10 and Monday from Keystone Spring Service on Route 22 in Muddy Creek Township.
Aug. 10 — An undisclosed amount of jewelry and money was stolen between 1 p.m. Aug. 9 and 4:45 p.m. Aug. 10 in a burglary at the Old HickoryLane home of Jane Montgomery in Pine Township, Mercer County.
