Joseph S. Hauserman, 61, of Tionesta died early Friday morning at his home.

Born on Oct. 13, 1949, in Ellwood City, he was the son of Dale Edwin and Betty Virginia Maust Hauserman. He married the former Barbara Monper on July 28, 1979, and she survives.

Mr. Hauserman served with the U.S. Army in Vietnam where he received a Bronze Star.

He owned and operated his own truck, and he also drove for MHF Trucking, retiring in 1986. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid motorcyclist.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Hauserman is survived by his son, Scott Steigerwald and his wife, Tracy, of Cranberry Township; two sisters, Juanita Clemens and her husband, Robert, of Cranberry Township and Debra Swigart of Sligo; seven grandchildren, Tanya, Justin, Derrick, Brittany, Chase, Shawn and Christian, and his great-granddaughter, Nevaeh.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Hauserman was preceded in death by his daughter, Kimberly McNish; three brothers, Donald, Frank and James Hauserman; and two sisters, Barbara Fisher and Diane Walters.

<B>HAUSERMAN</B> — Friends and family of Joseph S. Hauserman, who died Friday, Oct. 22, 2010, will be received on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 8 p.m. at the <B>Borland Funeral Home</B> in Leeper. A funeral service will be on Sunday at 8 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Gary Weckerly officiating.The family suggests memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association or to the Diabetes Association.Online condolences may be sent to the family at borlandfh.com.
