Campbell

Marian E. Campbell, 75, of Highland Avenue, Butler, passed away at 6:45 a.m. Saturday in the Good Samaritan Hospice at Concordia.

Born July 20, 1934, in Butler, she was the daughter of the late Clifford N. Baker and Eleanor M. Dunbar Baker.

Marian was a member of the Calvary Presbyterian Church, which is now Grace @ Calvary. She was a longtime member of the Leith Sunday school class at the church, and in her earlier years, she had been involved in all of the church's activities. She also was a longtime supporter of Seneca Hills Bible Camp.

Marian had been employed by Mellon Bank in the personnel and installment loan departments, She also was a buyer and manager for the Hallmark Department at Butler Family Drug Store from 1971 until she retired in 1988.

She was a member of the Butler Women's Club and a leader with the Butler County Family YMCA Teens. She enjoyed the annual vacations at the beach with her family.

Marian also enjoyed spending time flower gardening and taking art classes. She also was an avid Hallmark ornament collector. She was a 1952 graduate of Butler High School.

Marian is survived by her husband, Robert F. Campbell, who she married June 2, 1956; two sons, David V. Campbell of Mount Lebanon and Bruce A. Campbell of Butler; and one daughter, Karen Lee Harpel and her husband, Jim, of Butler.

Also surviving are four grandchildren, Tony Harpel, Samantha Harpel, Jacob Campbell and Christopher Campbell, all of Butler; one brother, C. Bruce Baker of Butler; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Barbara J. Swigart.

<B>Campbell</B> — Friends and family of Marian Campbell, who died Saturday, Feb. 13, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at <B>The Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, Butler.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with family friend and neighbor David Fox officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt.
