Charles D. “Charlie” Stump
Charles D. “Charlie” Stump, 64, of Connoquenessing Township passed away suddenly Monday at his home.
Born March 3, 1951, in Lewisburg, he was the son of the late Calvin and Madeline Guinter Stump.
Charlie was an enterprising and hardworking businessman. He owned and operated his own trucking company for 28 years and before that had driven his own rig. He was a member of Harmony Lodge 429 F&AM and was a former member of the Zelienople Kiwanis Club.
Charlie's favorite pastime was watching Sprint car racing. He was an enthusiastic Harley fan, and he loved listening to Kid Rock. He was a giving and selfless man and was always willing to help.
Above all it can be said that he lived his life on his own terms.
He was deeply loved by his family.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving companion, Judy Chamberlin; his three daughters, LeeAnn Beaver of McEwensville, Pa., Nicolette Pangonis and her husband, Michael, of Ellwood City and JanDianne Chamberlin of Dade City, Fla.; three grandchildren, Ryan Rice, Kaitlyn Jacoby and Amanda Jacoby; three brothers, Carl Stump and his wife, Hedy, of Lebanon, Pa., Rick Stump of Mechanicsburg, Pa., and Dave Stump of Milton, Pa.; two sisters, Linda Stahlnecker of Watsontown, Pa., and Mary Quijano of Vero Beach, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he also was preceded in death by one brother, Bill.
STUMP — Friends of Charles D. Stump, who died Monday, Oct. 12, 2015, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.A celebration of Charlie's life will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople, with the Rev.
