2:45 p.m. Sunday — Curtis Murphy, 19, of Butler was hurt when a car struck the bicycle he was riding at West Brady Street and Wilson Avenue. Police said Murphy rode into the intersection without stopping the bike, which had no brakes.When an officer asked why he had no brakes, according to a police report, Murphy replied that “he does not believe in brakes.”Howard R. James, 73, of Callery was driving the car. No charges were filed.11:45 a.m. Sunday — Johanna M. Terwilliger, 27, of Butler was caught allegedly shoplifting clothing items from the Kmart store in Pullman Plaza. Terwilliger drove away but police stopped her car on Pillow Street in front of Pullman Park.Police said they found the stolen merchandise, valued at $110, in the vehicle. Terwilliger faces a charge of retail theft.10:03 a.m. Sunday — Teri Lynn Mulneix, 33, of Butler was arrested on robbery and other charges after she allegedly shoplifted numerous items worth about $220 from the Kmart store in Pullman Plaza. Mulneix ran out of the store but was caught by a security employee.Police alleged Mulneix scuffled with the employee after she was nabbed, thereby upping the shoplifting case to a robbery. She was searched and found with a stamp bag of suspected heroin.In addition to robbery, Mulneix is charged with retail theft and possession of a controlled substance. She was placed in the Butler County Prison to await arraignment on charges.Sunday — Police reported that Michael R. Lohr, 26, of Butler faces several charges stemming from a suspected hit-and-run crash shortly before 7 p.m. April 12 at the West Penn Power facility on Hansen Avenue.A West Penn Power employee told police he saw the driver of a car hit a fence and utility pole. The driver, later identified as Lohr, backed up and hit the pole two more times, according to a police report. The suspect got out of the vehicle, picked up some of the parts that had fallen off the car and took off on foot.Officers found Lohr in back of the Kmart store in the Pullman Plaza.Police said they later learned that Lohr had allegedly taken the car, owned by his girlfriend's mother, without her permission, according to a police report.The report said Lohr is charged with theft, hit-and-run and reckless driving.Sunday — Police reported that Daniel J. Murray, 26, of Slippery Rock faces drugged driving charges stemming from a traffic stop about 6 a.m. April 6 at West Wayne and Upper Shore streets.A toxicology report received April 15 showed Murray had clonazepam, an anti-anxiety medication that is also prescribed for sleep disorders, and alprazolam, the generic name for the anxiety medication Xanax, in his system, a police report said.Police said Murray is charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance. His passenger, Lacee E. Craig, 27, of Butler, was allegedly caught with clonazepam without a prescription, and is charged with possession of a controlled substance.12:05 p.m. Friday — Nicole Claypoole, 27, of Butler was arrested after allegedly breaking into 30-year-old Tonya Claypoole's apartment and attacking her. The suspect and victim are cousins. A dispute over money apparently led to the altercation, a police report said.Tonya Claypoole was treated at Butler Memorial Hospital for minor facial injuries.Nicole Claypoole was arraigned on charges of burglary and simple assault. She is free on $5,000 bail.

2:19 a.m. Friday — A vehicle driven by Chelsi Streczywilk, 21, of Cranberry Township crashed on railroad tracks on McCalmont Road. Police said Streczywilk was cited for careless driving.8:31 p.m. Wednesday — Nicholas Mainhart, 29, of Butler lost control of a pickup truck towing a utility trailer and crashed into a ditch on Old Plank Road near Dutchtown Road. The truck landed on its side.The wreck closed Old Plank Road between Crisswell and Dutchtown roads, for about 90 minutes. Police said Jeffrey Barber, 37, of Butler, who owns the truck and trailer, faces a ticket for permitting the trailer to be towed with an expired registration.4:31 p.m. Wednesday — A vehicle driven by Edith Byers, 74, of West Sunbury rear-ended a car that was stopped at a red light on Route 8 south at Litman Road. Police said Byers was cited for following too closely to another vehicle. Melea Mauthe, no age given, of Butler was the other driver.3 p.m. Wednesday — A 16-year-old girl and a 16-year-old boy, both of Butler, got into a postrecess fight at the Butler Intermediate School. The girl was cited for harassment and the boy was cited for disorderly conduct. Police did not identify either student.8:30 p.m. Tuesday — Aaron Arnold, 31, of Hermitage, Mercer County, was hurt when the vehicle he was driving struck a car parked in the 200 block of Alameda Road. Jeffrey Salisbury, 39, of Butler was in the parked car.The crash pushed Salisbury's car nearly 40 feet and Arnold's vehicle rolled over and landed on its wheels. Arnold was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with unknown injuries.Police said Salisbury was cited for driving an unregistered vehicle, without insurance and without valid inspection.

3:30 a.m. Sunday — William K. Dellich III, 24, of West Sunbury was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence while operating an all-terrain vehicle on Muddy Creek Drive just north of Staff Road in Brady Township.Saturday — An unknown thief stole a white, 2000 Ford Ranger from B&B Muffler on Route 8 in Slippery Rock Township. The pickup truck was taken between 5 p.m. Friday and 9:30 a.m. Saturday. Police noted that the truck is missing its bed and front bumper. Also, the vehicle has black and gold decals on both its driver side and passenger side doors.Saturday — Several unspecified items were taken in a burglary at a home on Route 173 in Slippery Rock Township. Police said they have no suspects in the break-in that happened between 11:30 p.m. Friday and 1:30 a.m. Saturday. The burglar got in through an unlocked door.Friday — An unknown burglar used an unlocked kitchen window to get into a home on Stoops Road about three-tenths of a mile south of Route 308 in Clay Township. Nothing was reported taken in the break-in between 7:45 a.m. and 1:58 p.m.Friday — Unspecified property was taken between noon and 5 p.m. in a break-in at a house on Campbell Road in Concord Township. The unknown burglar broke a bedroom window to get into the homeApril 2 — A folder containing personal information was stolen in a burglary at a home on Main Street in Connoquenessing Township. The break-in happened between March 31 and April 2.

Sunday — An unknown thief stole a Ruger Super Redhawk .44-caliber Magnum revolver from a locked gun cabinet at a home in the 400 block of Adrian Road in East Franklin Township. The stainless steel revolver, which is equipped with a 9½-inch barrel, was taken between March 31 and Sunday.1 a.m. Saturday — A car driven by Charles J. Turney, 20, of Worthington crashed into an embankment on Montgomery Road in East Franklin Township. Police said Turney fled the scene but later was found. He told troopers he lost control of the car while changing radio stations.Investigators said Turney faces tickets for failing to immediately notify police of an accident and careless driving.2:40 p.m. Friday — Terry R. McDaniel, 45, of Kittanning is accused of making threats to emergency room staff at ACMH Hospital in East Franklin Township. Police said McDaniel is charged with terroristic threats.1:12 a.m. Friday — Anthony Parrotta, 21, of Kittanning was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 28 in North Buffalo Township.2:45 p.m. Thursday — Jack Scaife, 83, of Templeton crashed the car he was driving after suffering a severe medical condition while traveling on Route 268 just north of Ferne Drive in East Franklin Township. The car went over a curb and hit a traffic sign.Police said Scaife, who was wearing a seat belt, was not injured in the crash. He was taken to ACMH Hospital in East Franklin for treatment stemming from the medical emergency.9:38 a.m. Thursday — David P. Deal, 19, of Karns City is accused of violating a protective order after he allegedly sent a Facebook message to 19-year-old Dusti Shultz of East Brady. Police said Deal is charged with indirect criminal contempt.April 12 — Several scrap metal items were taken in a theft on Duncan Road in Madison Township. The stolen items, owned by a 66-year-old Worthington man and valued at $15, were taken between April 1 and 12.

Saturday — An unknown thief stole an orange Husqvarna garden tiller from a home on Stoneboro Road in Wolf Creek Township. The tiller, valued at $400, was taken between April 8 and Saturday.Friday — A 17-year-old Fredonia boy was charged in Mercer County Juvenile Court with rape, statutory sexual assault and sexual assault, stemming from the alleged attack of a 13-year-old girl from Fredonia in November in the borough. Police did not identify the boy.1:20 p.m. Thursday — Mitzy L. Foster, 37, of Mercer is accused of shoplifting 22 items worth $230 from the Wal-Mart on West Main Street Extension in Pine Township, Mercer County.11 a.m. Wednesday — A 15-year-old boy, who police did not identify, is accused of hitting his 53-year-old mother in the face and choking her during a domestic dispute at their home in Pine Township. The boy is charged with simple assault and harassment.Tuesday — An undisclosed amount of cut firewood was stolen between April 6 and Tuesday from a wooded lot in the 1300 block of Enterprise Road in Pine Township. The unknown thief made off in a pickup truck.April 14 — Two Erie woman face charges after a suspected shoplifting incident at the Pacific Sunwear store at Premium Outlets in Springfield Township. Felisha H. Martinez, 18, is accused of taking several clothing items. She is charged with retail theft.Lashana Henderson, 21, who accompanied Martinez, is accused of giving police a bogus name when questioned. Henderson is charged with false identification to law enforcement authorities.

Sunday — A yellow, 2002 Honda 250EX all-terrain vehicle was stolen from the yard of a home on Boyd Avenue in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County. The ATV, valued at $1,500, was taken between 9 p.m. Saturday and 10:30 a.m. Sunday.Sunday — A vandal damaged two mailboxes at homes on Old Route 422 in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County. The vandalism happened Saturday or Sunday.
