James R. Johnston Sr.
James R. Johnston Sr., 63, of Winfield Township died Sunday, while in the company of family at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Jim was born in Natrona Heights Feb. 19, 1954. He was the son of the late Florence “Sis” (McLaughlin) and T. Bernell “Don” Johnston.
Jim was a machinist by trade and had worked for the last 13 years for Belleville International in Butler.
Jim enjoyed going to his camp to hunt and fish.
He was an avid football fan and loved to spend time with his family.
Jim is survived by his wife of 45 years, Karen L. (Wagner) Johnston; their daughter, Kelly (Darrell) Dammond of Winfield Township; their son, James R. (Leeanna) Johnston Jr. of Buffalo Township; his grandchildren, Michaela and Matt Roenigk, James R. Johnston III, Kara Campbell, Tyler Campbell and Tianna Wallick; his great-grandchild, Lane Roenigk; his sister, Sally Johnston of Freeport; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Johnston; and his sister, Joyce Marie Johnston.
JOHNSTON — Family and friends of James R.
