A fire that apparently started when the furnace of a trailer on Hawk Drive exploded Jan. 6, 2017, has left a family of three with no home and only the clothes on their backs. Homeowner Debbie Ruth and her 24-year-old son, Shadoe Brandt, were not injured. They were able to save the family dog, but other pets may have been lost in the blaze.Phillip Rau/Butler Eagle
