Frederick L. Neely

Frederick L. Neely, 61, of Cornell Drive died Sunday afternoon at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born in Butler, Nov. 21, 1944, he was the son of Helen Benninger Neely.

He was a 1963 graduate of Butler High School and an alumnus of the Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics.

In 2003, he retired as the superintendent of the silicon department at AK Steel Corp. after 36 years.

Mr. Neely was a member of the Christ Community Methodist Church. He also was a member of the William Miller F&AM Lodge, the Scottish Rite Valley of New Castle Consistory and the Highfield Community Center.

His wife, Janet M. Zapp Neely, whom he married Sept. 5, 1964, survives. He also is survived by a son, Dr. Michael J. Neely, D.O., of Manhattan, N.Y.; a daughter, Mrs. Pamela Neely Aldridge and her husband, David Aldridge, of Butler; his mother of Butler; a sister, Mrs. Joseph (Rhonda) Hasychak of Butler; two grandchildren, Christian and Hannah Aldridge, both of Butler; and numerous nieces and nephews.

<B>NEELY </B>— Friends of Frederick L. Neely, who died Sunday, July 16, 2006, will be received from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Sunday at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St. Funeral services will follow at 10:30 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home with the Rev. T.D. Stewart officiating.
