A safer intersection
The intersection of Branchton Roard and Route 8 can be made much safer by putting the series of rumble strip grooves in the lanes as they approach Route 8 from the east and west.
I see these strips at a few other intersections in Western Pennsylvania. There are usually about four sections that are spaced closer together as you approach the intersection. The vibration really gets your attention when your tires go over them.
This simple addition will do much more than flashing lights to warn people that they approaching the intersection and need to stop before crossing Route 8.
