Woman charged with locking her son out of house
An Adams Township woman is accused of locking her 9-year-old son out of the house, naked.
Jill Polivka, 42, was charged last week with one count of misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child from an alleged incident Jan. 30 at her home.
The night of the incident, Polivka and the boy were allegedly having an argument, according to court records.
He was undressing to take a shower and she allegedly grabbed him by the neck and slapped him. He responded by kicking and punching his mother and she eventually pushed him out the back door and locked it behind him.
The temperature was about 48 degrees that night.
Police filed charges after interviewing the boy, Polivka, Polivkas's mother, another child who was home and a neighbor about what happened.
