VA water tower on the way down

Crews braved the cold, wet weather Monday as they cut apart and razed the former water tower on the VA Butler Healthcare property off New Castle Road.
VA spokesperson Paula McKarl said the demolition was in the budget for 2022, along with another older structure on the property.
She said crews were expected to have the tower down by the end of the day.
The tower was behind Deshon Place on the VA campus.
