Roberta W. Bennett
Mrs. Roberta W. Bennett, 61, of Buffalo Township was lifted up by the hands of her savior Wednesday while in the company of family members at the VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler. She was a very strong-willed and always a positive person.
Roberta was born in New Kensington, Aug. 20, 1949, the daughter of the late Robert and Erma (Read) Reed.
Roberta was a member of the Keystone Tall Tree Girl Scout Council. She was a past Girl Scout leader and a den mother.
She and her husband were past disc jockeys for WYEP-FM in Oakland. They also enjoyed participating in Civil War re-enactments.
She enjoyed reading, bluegrass music and dog grooming.
She and her husband attended the Sarver Free Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Alan D. Bennett; her son, Sean (Dawn) Bennett of Buffalo Township; her daughter, Faith (Jeff) Neff of Sewickley; a brother Quentin (Barb) Reed of Rimer; and her sister, Jorja Hogg of Phoenix. She also is survived by her five grandchildren, Abbey, Emily, Jordan, Brandon and Gino.
