Sandra 'Sandie' Kalp Sprankle
Sandra “Sandie” Kalp Sprankle, 63, of Butler Township passed away in the comfort of her home on Tuesday.
Born Oct. 2, 1948, in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late George Bruce and Ruth (Nolsheim) Kalp.
Sandie was a 1966 graduate of Butler High School and, after graduation, she joined the staff of Voice of America in Washington, D.C. She attended Butler County Community College and the University of Pittsburgh where she excelled in a number of subjects.
She was a former member of the Pittsburgh Athletic Association, the Robinettes Marching Corps and the Girl Scouts.
Sandie was employed with Citizens National Bank of Evans City, now NexTier Bank, from 1969 to 1999. She retired as vice president. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
She leaves behind, to cherish her memory, her adoring husband of almost 30 years, Colby W. Sprankle; her loving sister, Deborah Moore of Cranberry Township, and her faithful companion, her dog, Nitro.
