Mary Ann Covert, 73, of Center Drive, Chicora, died at 12:45 p.m. Wednesday in her residence.

Born Feb. 16, 1936, in Butler, she was the daughter of the late Elton O. Grabe and the late Elizabeth Welsh Grabe.

Mrs. Covert was a registered nurse for Butler Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Covert was a Sunday school teacher, elder and a member of various committees at North Butler Presbyterian Church.

She graduated from Butler High School in 1954 and Allegheny General Hospital School of Nursing, graduating in 1957.

Mrs. Covert is survived by her husband, Lloyd "Snuffy" D. Covert, who she married June 3 1961; one son, Ivan and his wife, Becky Covert; two daughters, Leasa and her husband, Glenn Pracht and Paula and her husband, Rich Moore; six grandchildren, Travis and Trisha Covert, Gage and Cassidy Moore and Rachel and Kevin Pracht; two brothers, Dutch and his wife, Grace Grabe and Tom and his wife, Darlene Grabe; two sisters, Peggy Peters and Janice and her husband, David Faust; 13 nieces; and 13 nephews.

<B>COVERT </B>— Friends of Mary Ann Covert, who died Wednesday, July 29, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home Inc.</B>, 124 E. North St., Butler. Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Mary Sickels Kitchen, of North Butler Presbyterian Church, officiating.
