Pauline 'Polly' Berry
Pauline “Polly” Berry, 86, of Butler passed away at 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born Dec. 7, 1925, in Portersville to the late Charles W. Wright and Melda Bortz Wright.
Mrs. Berry worked as the director of volunteer and public relations at Butler Memorial Hospital, retiring in 1988.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Butler Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. She was a past president of the General Federation of Women's Clubs, Butler, and the Election Board, Ward 3. Polly spent her time visiting with friends, cooking, baking, needle pointing, traveling and participating in Bible studies and events at her church.
Mrs. Berry is survived by two daughters, Patricia Vasbinder and her husband, Roger, of Butler and Carla Brosnahan and her husband, James, of Houston, Texas; four grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; a number of nieces, nephews and cousins; one sister, Cora Siekaniec of Butler; and a number of life-long friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis G. Berry, who passed away Aug. 29, 1998.
<B>BERRY</B> — There will be no public visitation for Pauline (Polly) Berry, who passed away Feb. 8, 2012.Her body was donated to the Human Gifts Registry for Anatomical Study and Research.A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the First United Methodist Church, 200 E. North St., Butler, with the Rev. Dr. J. David Panther officiating. Interment will be in the Summit Presbyterian Church Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 200 E.
