Belleville International announced the sale of its business to a strategic investor, Hardt Precision LLC, which is based in Gibsonia, on April 18.

According to a news release from Belleville International, the washer and spring manufacturer will continue operations without interruption. The acquisition by Hardt Precision aligns with Belleville’s goals of remaining independently and locally owned while continuing with dedication to investment in pursuing the growth and technical leadership, the news release stated.

Belleville International serves a variety of industries including drilling and downhole, precision valve, off-highway, safety and aerospace.

“We are a local family-owned business, and this transaction allows such to continue in Western Pennsylvania and to grow going forward, which was very important to our decision to transition Belleville to a new ownership,” said Don Smetanick, owner of Belleville International. “We are excited as to the future of Belleville going forward and extremely proud of our accomplishments.”

The purchase also lines up with Hardt’s mission of remaining oriented as a local and family-owned business.
