Richard J. Fry Sr.
Richard John “Dick” Fry Sr., 74, of Franklin Street, Butler, died at 12:20 p.m. Monday at his home.
Born March 19, 1936, in Butler, he was the son of the late Clarence Hilton Fry Sr. and Lillian Marie Hockenberry Fry.
Mr. Fry was the owner of Dick's New & Used Furniture from where he retired.
He enjoyed collecting antiques, writing poetry and playing the lottery.
He enjoyed time with his brother and friends on Center Avenue at the Donut Connection and at Linda's South Side Diner. He also enjoyed spending time at the Pizza Hut.
He served in the Army and was stationed in Munich, Germany. He was a member of VFW Post 249.
Mr. Fry is survived by five sons, Richard J. Fry Jr. of Butler, Matthew P. and his wife, Christine Fry, of Butler, Christian R. and his wife, Karin Fry, of New Castle, Dale A. Fry of Butler and Richard Matthew and his wife, Crystal Snyder, of Slippery Rock; three daughters, Belynda S. Young of Butler, Tracy M. and her husband, Frank Malinski, of Prospect and Wendy and her husband, Christopher Losser, of Butler; 25 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; one brother, Harry and his wife, Judy Fry; one sister, Bernice and her husband, Philip Radwanski, of Lyndora; his former wife, Judy Oesterling Fry; his companion, Donna Snyder; and his former wife, Margaret Stuart.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Fry was preceded in death by one brother, Clarence H. Fry Jr.; and four sisters, Gail Leinenbach, Twila Duncan, Val Jean Bowser and Lucille Domhoff.
<B>FRY </B>— There will be no public visitation. Memorial services for Richard John “Dick” Fry Sr., who died Monday, Jan. 3, 2011, will be at the Faith Fellowship Alliance Church, 200 Fared Drive, Butler, at 6:30 p.m. Friday with Pastor Benjamin Oesterling officiating.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E.
