Phyllis J. Marshall
Phyllis J. Coulter Marshall, 72, of Valencia died Tuesday at UPMC Passavant hospital, McCandless Township.
Born Nov. 25, 1937, in Fombell, she was the daughter of the late Irvin H. and Edna (Burr) Pflug.
Mrs. Marshall was a devoted member of the Glade Run Presbyterian Church in Valencia. A very spiritual person, she was a deacon at the church, taught the youth in the Wednesday after-school program "R.O.C.K.," volunteered at the Boaz House, taught Sunday school and went on numerous mission trips.
Mrs. Marshall also volunteered in helping restore the homes damaged by the floods of Hurricane Ivan.
She enjoyed playing cards with the girls in the card club.
She is survived by her husband, Robert G. Marshall, who she married Sept. 14, 1984; three daughters, Kathleen S. Purvis (Michael Bastian) of Renfrew, Laurie A. Cahall of Butler and Bonnie J. Walker (William) of Slippery Rock; a sister, Shirley J. Iman of Renfrew; 14 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Coulter, who died in 1975; a son, Robert Coulter Jr., who died in 1971; and a granddaughter, Stephanie Lynn Burton, who died in 2008.
<B>MARSHALL</B> — Friends of Phyllis J. Coulter Marshall, who died Tuesday, March 9, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the <B>Boylan Funeral Home</B>, 116 E. Main St., Evans City. Additional visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Glade Run Presbyterian Church, 1091 Pittsburgh Road, Valencia, where funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. with the Rev.
