McCune

Danny W. McCune, 67, of East Butler passed away at 5:59 a.m. Tuesday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

He was born on May 15, 1946, in Butler, the son of the late John McCune and the late Evelyn (Reges) McCune.

Danny had worked at Pullman Standard for 18 years and was also a self-employed mechanic.

He was a member of the Butler Moose 64, the Slovak Club, the Italian Club, the French and Belgium Club, the East Butler Volunteer Fire Department and the Lyndora American Legion. Danny also enjoyed bowling and gambling.

Surviving are his wife of 33 years, Barbara (Osche) McCune; his daughter, Danielle McCune and her fiance, Mike Crispen, of Karns City; his two stepsons, Robert and William Bergbigler of Butler; his six grandchildren, Michael, Ashley and Jacob Crispen and Shalynn, Cole and Jordan Bergbigler; his four sisters, Edith (Harvey) Sumney of Canton, Ohio, Dorie (John) Sarver of Butler, Judith (Glenn) Wells of Butler, and Esther (John) Daly of Butler; his brother, Raymond (Linda) McCune of Butler, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, a sister and an infant sibling.

McCune — Friends of Danny W. McCune, who died Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2013, will be received at the Young Funeral Home, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. until the time of service at 8 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. Jim Lewis officiating. Interment will be private.
