Dorothy J. Greer
Dorothy J. Greer, 75, of Parker Pike, Parker, and Port St. Lucie, Fla., passed away Saturday at her home.
Dorothy was born Feb. 6, 1942, in Pittsburgh. She was the daughter of the late Eugene C. and Sophie B. Lesniak Bromberg.
She was a graduate of St. Augustine High School in Pittsburgh and had been a member of the Holy Family Roman Catholic Church. While in Florida, she was a member of the Red Hat Society and was on the board of directors of the Polish American Social Club.
She enjoyed crafting and square dancing. Dorothy was a wildlife enthusiast and an advocate for the preservation and protection of America's owls and eagles.
Dorothy is survived by her husband, Norman S. Greer, whom she married Jan. 27, 1962, in Pittsburgh.
Also surviving are three children, Lynn M. Korff and her husband, Richard, of Cabot, David M. Greer and his wife, Maggie, and Scott A. Greer, all of Gibsonia; four grandchildren, Katie, Becky, Dan and Kenzie; two brothers, Eugene F. Bromberg and his wife, Carol, of Glenshaw and Robert Bromberg and his wife, Patty, of Pittsburgh; one sister, Barbara Girlardo and her husband, Kenneth, of Daytona, Fla.; and a number of nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and friends.
