Blanche M. Wiles

Blanche M. Wiles, 85, of East Brady passed away Sunday at Mercy Hospital.

Born Sept. 10, 1929, in East Brady, she was the daughter of Fred A. and Edna V. (McElroy) McCanna.

On June 25, 1953, Blanche married Elmer K. “Doug” Wiles. He preceded her in death Sept. 12, 1989.

A 1947 graduate of East Brady High School, Blanche worked as the clerk at Brackens (formerly Logues) Pharmacy for 47 years.

Blanche was a life member of East Brady Baptist Church. She had served as the church treasurer, clerk, sang in the choir and was a deaconess.

She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, the Bradys Bend Historical Society and the Red Hat Society. Above all, Blanche will always be remembered for portraying a spot on Mrs. Clause every Christmas. Blanche was a wonderful woman who dearly loved her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by one daughter, Denise Pesci and her husband, Tom, of Gibsonia; two grandchildren, Rachel Schuster and her husband, Scott, of Cranberry Township and David Pesci and his wife, Lauren, of East Brady; two great-grandchildren, Cameron and Scarlett Schuster; and one sister, Bessie Panei of Butler.

Blanche was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother and three sisters.

WILES — Friends of Blanche M. Wiles, who died Sunday, June 14, 2015, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Buechele Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 707 Kellys Way, East Brady.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at East Brady Baptist Church with the Rev. Mark Hillwig, pastor, officiating.
