Lucille S. Visnesky
Lucille S. (Neal) Visnesky, 82, was called home to Jesus on Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2021.
Born to Chester and Genevieve (McMillen) Neal on June 11, 1939, in Worthington, she was beloved by everyone who knew her.
She married the love of her life, John M. Visnesky on Aug. 23, 1957, and together they shared a beautiful life in their 58 years of marriage.
Lucille had a green thumb, and loved spending her summer days in the sunshine tending to her garden that she and John grew together year after year. She was affectionately known as “Lucy” to those who loved her.
A longtime member of St. Mary, Our Lady of Guadalupe Roman Catholic Church, she enjoyed singing her worship, and was also known to sing around the house. Her family describes her as a songbird.
She was a loyal caretaker to her cherished dog and companion, Ebony.
No one ever went hungry at Lucille's house, as she always made enough food for an army, and cooked everything with heaping amounts of love.
She was a dedicated worker at Fairwinds Nursing Home for eight years, and Armstrong County Memorial Hospital for 20 years.
Lucille is survived by her devoted children, John Visnesky (Holly) of Mount Lebanon, Christina Wilson (Scott) of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, Timothy Visnesky (Carrie) of Kittanning, Kenneth Visnesky (Cheryl) of Rural Valley, Jeffrey Visnesky of Marietta, and her adopted son, John Fitzgerald of Harrisburg; her loving grandchildren, Jeremy, Jessica, Ashley, Shaun, Michael, Morgan, Christopher, Nichole, Natalie, Benjamin, Park and Michelle; three stepgrandchildren, Joel, Chuckie and Brandon; 12 great-grandchildren; and her brothers, Joseph (Diane) Neal and Thomas (Jan) Neal.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her dear husband, John; and her brother, Chester S. Neal Jr. (“Sonny”).
Lucille was a faithful believer, treasured and adored mother and grandmother, and wonderful woman. Anyone who knew her was blessed, and she will forever be remembered and characterized by her love.
