Helen 'Trudy' Ruskin

Helen Gertrude "Trudy" Bish Ruskin, 93, formerly of Connoquenessing, passed away Sunday evening in the St. John Specialty Care Center, Mars.

Born Jan. 3, 1917, in Meridian, she was the daughter of the late Carl O. and Ada Van Dyke Bish.

She was a former member of the Connoquenessing Methodist Church.

She retired as a medical secretary.

Mrs. Ruskin was a Wave in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Ruskin; two brothers, Blair and Jennings Bish; and three sisters, Bernice Bish, Annabelle Murray and Marjorie Davidson.

Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Hope (Martha) Leisel of Hadley; a brother, Maurice "Pete" Bish of Butler; and nieces and nephews.

<B>RUSKIN</B> — Friends and relatives of Helen Gertrude "Trudy" Bish Ruskin, who died Sunday, March 28, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>A. Carl Kinsey-Ronald N. Volz Funeral Home</B>, 328 W. Main St., Evans City. Funeral services will follow with the Rev. Nancy Shute, pastor of Connoquenessing Methodist Church, officiating.
