Ernest J. Wuerger Jr., 68, of West Deer Township died Tuesday.

Born Sept. 12, 1936, in Glenshaw, he was the son of the late Ernest J. and Louise Meier Wuerger Sr.

He was a member of St. Victor Roman Catholic Church in Bairdford.

Mr. Wuerger enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing, and he was a lifelong and charter member of West View Hunting and Fishing Club.

His wife, Eleanor M. Wuerger, whom he married Sept. 22, 1957, died Jan. 25, 2005.

Surviving are his children, Christine Wuerger of Ross Township, Patty and David Wuerger, both of West Deer Township, and Corinne Wuerger of Arnold; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Wuerger Jr., who died Tuesday, April 26, 2005, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at SCHELLHAAS FUNERAL HOME, 5864 Heckert Road, Richland Township. A blessing service will follow at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Ken Oldenski as celebrant.
