Senior Airman John Geibel was recently promoted to Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force.

Geibel was deployed to Afghanistan where he assisted the U.S. Army with meteorology. He is stationed at Fort Hood in Killeen, Texas.

Geibel is the son of Larry and Robin Geibel of East Brady and the grandson of Shirley and the late Lester Geibel of Fairview, and Elizabeth “Patsy” Eschenfeldt of Sligo.

Army Pfc. Danielle Albright graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.

Albright is the daughter of Richard and Toni Albright and the granddaughter of Floyd Case, all of Butler.

She is a 2009 graduate of Butler Senior High School.
