Mabel A. Hays

Mabel A. Hays, 71, of Hays Lane in Summit Township died at 1:51 p.m. Monday at Life Care of Pittsburgh in Wilkinsburg.

Born in East Butler, Feb. 6, 1935, she was the daughter of Harry and Martha Gilbert Thomas.

She was a homemaker and a member of the East Butler Presbyterian Church. She was a life member of the East Butler Fireman's Club Ladies Auxiliary.

Surviving are her husband, Eugene P. Hays, whom she married Oct. 27, 1952; a son, Randy Hays of Butler; three daughters, Jeannie Reges of Chicora, Mrs. Lee (Terri) Gumpp of Butler and Patty Hays of Eau Claire; six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

She also is survived by three brothers, Harry Thomas of East Brady, Fred Thomas of Connoquenessing and James Thomas of East Butler; two sisters, Mrs. Donald (Sarah) Bortmas of East Butler and Mrs. Leonard (Janet) Nocera of Butler; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Two brothers preceded her in death.

<B>HAYS </B>— Friends of Mabel A. Hays, who died Monday, June 5, 2006, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Mary Sickles, her church pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Greenlawn Burial Estates, Mount Chestnut.Information also is available at www.thompson-miller.com.
