Cherilayne “Cookie” Miller, 69, of Butler, passed away Thursday, May 5, 2022, at her residence.

Born Oct. 2, 1952, in Butler, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Betty (Jenkins) Rodgers.

Cookie retired from St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic School, following more than 20 years of service as school secretary.

She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish, St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church. She was a member of St. Mary Christian and Mothers Guild.

Surviving are her husband, Thomas Miller, who she married in August 1978.

She also is survived by her daughter, Regan (Shawn) Spath of Ohio; her son, Marcus (Rebekah) Miller of Pittsburgh; four grandchildren, Dimitrius, Evelyn, Saoirse and Teague; her sisters, Kathy (Randy) Hamilton of Florida and Gloria Rodgers of Butler; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister and three brothers.

MILLER — There will be no public visitation for Cherilayne “Cookie” Miller, who died Thursday, May 5, 2022.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, 821 Herman Road, Butler. Everyone is asked to meet at the church.

Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.

Arrangements are being handled by GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME, Butler.
